Routine Eye Care

The annual examination of your eye health by an “Eye M.D.” provides you with both optical correction and a medical examination of the eyes. An ophthalmologist provides insight into the connections between your medical history and your vision; often offering helpful suggestions to other specialists. 

During the course of the routine examination, it is not uncommon for an Eye M.D. to detect problems from medications, problems that might have resulted from medical conditions treated by your other doctors, or medical problems that have previously gone undetected.  The most sophisticated imaging techniques often prove inferior to an ophthalmologist’s expert medical examination.
